A fantastic weekend on the road for Mentallica. Friday's trip to The Nines in Barrow was well worth the long drive. The crowd were many and mental! Thanks to Dave for setting it all up and to his wife Nik for providing much appreciated food for the band. Also thanks to Chris for his work on the sound desk. We hope that the unfortunate lady who fell in the mosh, damaged her leg and was subsequently taken away in an ambulance is on the mend. Hope to see you back in Barrow some time soon.
After the long jaunt of Friday came a very short journey down the road to Walsall and The Wharf 10 Bar. First time for the band in Walsall but it's good to know that wherever there's metal there are a bunch of folks who will drink beer and head bang all night long! Was great to see so many friends there, Al, Jasper, Helene & co, Helen and Rob, Mr and Mrs Jones(they who have the dubious pleasure of being parents to Mentallica's James Hatstand). . .and many more. Thanks also to Scott and Luke for all they did.
Have to admit though that after two nights of 2hr plus sets the necks of the band were starting to ache a little! Sunday was most assuredly a day of rest.
